Bob's Bowls started from a simple idea – to give forgotten wood a new life. Our founder's passion for woodworking led to countless hours of learning and refining techniques in our workshop in United Kingdom, constantly exploring the unique characteristics of each piece of wood.
What types of wood do you use for your bowls?
We primarily use 'waste wood' – Commonly, Ash, oak, walnut, eucalyptus, apple, lignum vitae. We especially like spalted wood. timber that might otherwise be discarded. Each piece is carefully selected for its inherent beauty, unique grain patterns, and character. We believe in celebrating the 'fruits of the earth' in their most natural form.

Every Bob's Bowl is a one-of-a-kind creation. The natural variations in the wood, including mesmerising grain patterns, knots, and slight imperfections, are what give each piece its individual charm and beauty. We don't strive for perfection, but for authentic, natural artistry.
